  • How do buying consultants save us money?

    Buying consultants save you money by negotiating strongly with estate agents and ensuring you only pay for the package required. The savings buying agents make are often significantly more than our initial fee. For example, we have saved a client more than £7000 in fees with their preferred estate agent.

  • How do I choose the best estate agent?

    This is something we can do together, and even if you have a preferred agent, we can still negotiate the best package and terms for you.  Once on the market, Harrogate Property Finder will ensure that your agent is fulfilling their responsibilities and acting in your best interests. We also go through the agents’ terms of business ensuring there is nothing in there to be wary of.

  • Is an estate agent charging 1.5% better than an estate agent charging 0.5%?

    You would have thought so, but often this is not the case. Harrogate Property Finder can genuinely often negotiate up to 50% discounts from agents’ fees, and we only deal with trusted, legitimate, approved local agents (we do not deal with on-line only agents). Estate agents also like doing business with us because they know we only deal with serious sellers.

  • Are premium property marketing packages worth it?

    It’s very common for estate agents to sell ‘add ons’ such as premium Rightmove marketing, video tours and additional press advertising. Harrogate Property Finder will advise on whether it’s worth taking these packages, and often we’ll be able to negotiate their inclusion without an additional fee. 

  • How much do buying agents charge?

    If you are retaining Harrogate Property Finder as a buying agent, we will include this service without additional charge. Alternatively, if you are just looking to sell a property, the fees will be discussed in our initial free consultation.
